Enjoy iPad Craps in New Zealand

iPad Craps is the iOS software version of the thrilling casino game. Craps is an exciting betting game that involves betting on dice. The game of dice is held on a craps table (often only half of this table is shown in online casinos) with specific requirements on how to throw the dice and an intricate list or betting rules and game conventions.

Players who are new to craps will have to familiarise themselves with the terms used, for example, names like “Shooter” which is the name given to the person currently throwing the dice and a “Stickman” is the man with a stick that assists the dealer. Free iPad craps games offer the perfect chance to become au fait with the terminology and players can learn and have fun on the move!

The Rules and Game Play

In iPad Craps as in “casino craps” or “table craps”, there are bets placed against the “bank” or the “house”. Other versions of this game offer a variation of what is known as “street craps” or “shooting dice” where bets are placed against other players.

Craps consists of two phases namely “Come Out” and “Point”.  To start a round, the shooter rolls the dice in order to make one or more “Come Out” rolls. The dice must be rolled hard enough to hit the walls of the opposite side of the table. A “Come Out” or initial roll of a 2, 3 or 12 (some versions of iPad Craps follow the convention of calling this “Craps” or in another way, the shooter is said to ‘crap out’) ends the round with players losing their Pass Line bets. On the “Come Out” roll, if a 7 or 11 are rolled, before establishing a Point, any Player who bet on the Pass Line wins. The shooter continues to make “Come Out” rolls until he rolls 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, which number becomes the Point. The dealer then moves a plastic disc or button to the point number signifying the second phase of the round. If the shooter rolls the point number, the result is a win for bets on the Pass Line. If the shooter rolls a seven (a Seven-out), the pass line loses and the round ends. In iPad Craps this is normally done through a simple but effective animation.

Only the shooter is required to place the minimum bet before starting this game play, others may place bets after the initial “Come Out” roll. The other players are placed around the craps table (the half that is usually shown is replicated on the other side to create a full table) and game play follows a clockwise direction.
